Very pleased to welcome Dr Keneiloe Molopyane as an associate of Origin Safaris Africa.
An archaeologist at the Centre for Exploration of the Deep Human Journey at Wits University, Kenneiloe was one of the ‘underground astronauts’ famously responsible for the discovery of Homo naledi at the Rising Star cave system in the Cradle of Humankind in 2013.
This is the most extensive and complete hominin fossil site yet discovered in Africa. It has changed our understanding of human evolution – and is likely to continue to do so as more evidence is compiled from the ongoing excavations there.
Keneiloe is the first black woman to hold the prestigious title of Principal Investigator at the world-renowned Gladysvale Cave site in the Cradle, which forms part of our Malapa Human Origins tour.
